In August of 1994, I was diagnosed with Osteomyelitis, a vicious staph
infection over my spine.
A couple of days prior, I rose from bed, and as I stood up, I could
not walk two steps without falling. The pain was excruciating. After 30 hours in the local E.R. and
four MRI scans, I was rushed across town to a neuro surgeon for life saving surgery. Not my best
week! After 3 near brushes with death, gallons of I.V. antibiotics, pain killers and whatnot, all
included in my 30 day hospital package, I was told that I could return home, along with a 10 week
supply of I.V. antibiotics, administered four times daily. It could be years, if ever, that I would be able
to walk without assistance or a walker. Sweet!

Where is this going? I developed a friendship with a very caring nurse, I'll call "Nurse Betty", who
happened to be very well versed in something known as New Age Spirituality. To make a very long
story short, I'll never forget the question that she posed to me. She asked me if I knew the
difference between being Cured and being Healed. This is where things started to get interesting,
to say the least.

Nurse Betty started by pointing out the Fact that somehow, everything
that happens to us, good or bad, is a direct action of our thoughts and
intentions.
Yeah right, I've always wanted to end up like this, I swore. Prior to this, I was known
for being bad tempered and pessimistic. I also drank too much and ate poorly, as I pointed out to
her. However, at this point in my life, I was somehow open to change.

Nurse Betty introduced me to a Holistic Healer Practioner. She asked me the same question,
"Do
you want to be cured or healed"?
Anyhow, over several months of prayer, yes prayer,
and reading aloud to me, over and over, that what we think is sent out to the universe,
manufactured and returned to us without fail. What we think is what we get. Getting back to curing
versus healing, I learned that a cure has more to do with immediate physical relief. In curing, our
efforts are specifically designed to make something happen. In healing, we live questions instead of
answers. We hang out in the unknown.
By exercising our minds on only positive
thoughts, we become new people and begin to heal.

About the only things available to me at the time was the internet and reading. I was also taught to
meditate for twenty or so minutes a day. I call it day dreaming, when you're in that happy place or
situation that you've always wanted. Children are especially good at day dreaming, and I suppose
that is what my Practitioner called reaching my inner child.

Finally, over a period of three months, I found myself feeling better and much more positive about
life in general. I found myself walking across the living room without the walker and then came that
incredible morning when I mustered up enough nerve to go outside, down the driveway to pick up
the morning paper, and back inside without falling. I did stumble around, though. When I called
Nurse Betty and Practioner with the good news, they were happy for me, but they weren't too
surprised. At least they didn't come right out and say I told you so. They've seen it before, many
times.
From that moment on, the old me died, replaced by something that
I can only describe as a miracle given to a former world class skeptic.

If you've read this far, know this! What we think is everything as far as how are
lives will turn out.
This is such an important concept that I can"t begin to touch on it in an
article, except to give my own experience with changing my thoughts and attitudes on life. I can say
without any hesitation whatsoever that a combination of prayer and thought, lives can be changed
at any time for the best. By the way, I'm golfing and fishing again!

These are my own thoughts, I did not research this article in the least. Recommended highly are
Deepak Chopra, Dr. Wayne Dwyer and, for me at least, the King James Bible. Thank you for your
interest.

I must also mention the remarkable nutritional supplements that were given to me that
helped turn my health around, within days. In fact, the Nutritional products that I
showcase on this site are exactly what has helped me so much, along with so many other
people. I believe so deeply in the article content in this site as well as the nutritional and
spiritual resources, I want to make some small contribution in return for all that I have
been given.

Sincerely yours and God's Blessings,
